Just a quick little question, Why is it that many people from nscad dislike Robert Bateman's work? I think he is absolutely brilliant and would love to be able to understand his concept and style and be able to do that myself. When asked last semester in a paint class of mine, who is my favorite painting artist, I then said Robert Bateman. The response to that was very negative. Why is it? Is he not contemporary enough, is his style boring? well to me half the stuff we had been studying was not very interesting to me. It was all very similar, cookie cutter contemporary work that did not really interest me at all.

haha.. ummm, i like him too. and ive gotten the same reviews around nscad.
i know! everyone around here seems to really dislike him! haha its good to hear im not the only one who actually likes is work! haha
